Baby acne

Babies can get acne even at birth but in most cases it would start showing up around the age of 3 or 4years old. It would look like reddish pimples, mainly occurring around the cheeks, but can also be found around the eyelid, foreheads, chin area, upper chest and neck. It’s always good to check your baby for any signs of acne, when it feels hot or starts acting fussy. Some babies may even have inflamed pimples or black heads on the face; this would be much like teenage acne. This normally happens to babies which come from families which have had regular happenings of teenage acne. However this should not be taken as the standard, since there could be multiple reasons for the same.
Once the baby is found with acne it is very important that you treat the baby with the right kind of topical or oral antibiotics with topical benzoyl peroxide and diluted tretinoin. Early treatment is very important to avoid any future complications related to skin. While reading underjams review I also found about the rashes that babies can get around their thighs, these are also important areas of the skin to be given extra care to.
In case the acne is not broken you can wash the face of the baby with some warm water and baby soap, at least twice a day. You make bubbles of soap water in a clean wash basin and then use the palms of your hand to wash the face of the baby with soap bubbles for a minute. For the next 20 seconds you use warm shower water to rinse the face of the baby. Gently pat the face of the baby, and then rinse again for another 20 seconds. You can do this whole process at least twice a day. Make sure the soap that you use is approved baby soap.
